M&P at DECOREX International

October 10, 2017

Decorex is an international design fair renowned for being the UK’s leading destination for interior design in London. The show features more than 400 of the most celebrated as well as emerging exhibitors world-wide, including rising numbers of new participants. This popular event is the only one of its kind for the high-end interiors market. M&P exhibited with the collaboration of PressOn UK, two of the most popular sound acoustic textiles on our portfolio, Silencio 5 and AKUSTICO®.

In a brilliant double panel exhibit created by PressOn UK, the acoustic textiles manufactured by Pongs Technical Textiles in Germany attracted a large crowd to the booth thanks to Robin Sprong’s astonishing designs.

The Artists

Two of the most prestigious designers from Robin Sprong in Cape Town, Sarah Ord and Franco Moz created the superb prints on the sound absorbing panel. Robin Sprong is South Africa’s leading bespoke wallpaper company.

On the Silencio 5 (left side of the panel – picture 1): The brush strokes design in pink and black by Sarah Ord from her Crayola, Brush on Colour Collection – a special custom colour design for the DECOREX show – you can check out the rest of her collection here.

“Sarah Ord Interiors, an international design practice and online retail emporium based in Cape Town, proffer colourful interior solutions and products to the modern aesthete. Sarah is renowned for her sophisticated use of saturated hues, embroidering the contemporary and traditional into an up to the minute interior. The in-house product lines consist of tableware, linen, lighting and a successful fabric range and wallpaper collection. One-off pieces are also collected from far and wide, adding to the practice’s nomadic design ethic… ‘gathered, comfortable, well loved.’”

On the AKUSTICO®(right side of the panel – picture 3): The Tropical design by Franco Moz’s Crazy Banana Collection– more on the collection here.

“The stunning Tropical Leaf collection is a proud piece of work by Robin Sprong’s Senior in-house designer, Franco Moz. These palm trees and banana leaves are one of their most sought-after ranges and are incredibly versatile – they can create a relaxed, cosy interior feel, or turn a feature wall into an elegant masterpiece.”

Both designs have different colour options which you can scale up or down and digitally print on our textiles. The designs are adaptable for various projects and for multiple applications such as acoustic wall and ceiling panels, curtains, and backlits.
